In order to master the layering technique, dentist should have knowledge about natural light physics and tooth morphology, be familiar with the opacities and shades of the used composite and finally enhance his/her psychomotor skills that comes on top of the pyramid!

1- Index and composite were used to capture the shape and length of the tooth 2- Enamel composite was used to establish a reference for build up (layering from palatal to labial)

Enamel composite palatally , Dentin composite for light reflection (to avoid gray shadow) , Body composite as a final dentin shade

1-White and brown stain were used 2- Superficial tooth texture should be comparable to the next incisor (tooth finger print!) 3-Final luster should be carefully depicted when light is reflected.
